Madhavi was born in Madanapalle, Andhra Pradesh. She studied 10th class in vijayawada and degree in Vellore. She modeled for Tata gold Tanishq, where she was selected by Sekhar Kammula to act in his production film, Avakai Biryani. In 2009, she acted in the film, Bumper Offer, opposite Sairam Shankar.
