Minka Kelly Dumont born 24 June 1980, is an
American actress.She starred in
NBCseries Friday Night Lights as Lyla Garrity 2006 to 2009. Kelly was born in Los
Angeles, California. She is the only child of former Aerosmith guitarist
Rick Dufay and late
Maureen Kelly, a former
Vegas showgirl. After graduating from
high school, Kelly returned to
Los Angeles with her father to
pursue as a hobby while she went to
school to become a
surgical technician.Kelly has received praise for her acting on
Friday Night Lights, the New York Times called her
performance "heartbreaking". She shot a
cameo for the
Kingdom with Jamie Foxx. Peter Berg, the
creator and pilot director of
Friday Night Lights, directed the film. Kelly was the leading actor on the
CW in the
2009 pilot political body that was not taken up as a
series.
