James Edward Franco is 19 April 1978. He is an American actor, director, screenwriter, producer, writer and painter. He began acting at the end of the 1990s, appearing on the short life of the TV series Freaks and Geeks and starring in several teen films.
He spilled into Howl by Allen Ginsberg and 127 hours, a film about Aron Ralston, an American climber who cut his own arm to free up more cash after he was caught under a rock. He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance.
Franco grew up in California with his two younger brothers, Tom and Dave, who is also an actor. Talented in math, he interned at Lockheed Martin. Franco graduated from Palo Alto High School in 1996 where he acted in plays.
