Bruce Frederick Dean Pearl born 18 1960, an American college basketball coachwho is currently coach of the University of Tennessee Volunteers men's team. He is a graduate of Boston College, where he got his first job as an assistant coach basketball. He and his ex-wife, Kimberly, have two daughters, Jacqui and Leah, and two sons, Steven, who is on Tennessee basketball, and Michael.
Pearl took a Screaming Eagles USI team in 1992, which had won only 10 games last season. Pearl posted a 22-7 record in his first season and led the Eagles to nine straight NCAA D-II tournaments in addition to winning four Great Lakes Valley Conference titles.
When Pearl and Collins were both head coaches in four years in the Horizon League, the two men never participate in the traditional post game handshake, reportedly due to residual feelings about the incident.
