Stephen Victor Talla Rico (born March 26, 1948), better known as Steven Tyler, is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist and front man theBoston-based rock band Aerosmith, who also plays harmonica, and occasionally pianoand percussion. He is also known as the "Demon of Screamin '"and is also known for his acrobatics on stage.
In 1970, Tyler rose in prominence as the frontman for Aerosmith, who gave such a landmark hard rock album at the end of the 1970s and early 1980s, Tyler was a heavy drug and alcohol abuse, and the band's popularity waned. He completed substance abuse in 1986 and has since maintained sobriety for over 20 years, except for a painkiller addiction in the late 2000's, where he was treated in 2009.
